Macbeth
A gyopo (Korean American) executive becomes convinced by a trio of shamans that he will one day become the next chairman of the Samsung Group. Consumed by ambition and spurred to action by his foreign wife, Macbeth murders his boss and and takes the company for himself.
Inspired by my own family’s repatriation to Korea, this version of Macbeth explores themes of alienation, identity, and disillusionment.
